We are delighted with the way that all the children have settled into nursery in these uncertain times.
The children have adapted brilliantly to washing and sanitising their hands more frequently than before and to a different arrival and leaving routine. Once in nursery, our routine is very much as it was before and we continue to offer the children a wide range of learning opportunities both indoors and outdoors.
We have been learning a range of lovely autumn songs which you may well have heard your children singing, as well as observing the change in seasons on our walks and from the nursery gardens. We are also focusing on the Health and Self Care aspect of the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum, particularly promoting independence with effective hand washing and around nose blowing hygiene. This is an aspect of the curriculum that we always cover early on each academic year, but it is more important than ever this year.
We continue to be vigilant with our implementation of our Coronavirus System of Controls to minimise the risks of a Covid infection in nursery. Part of this prevention strategy is to make maximum use of outdoor play and to maintain good ventilation inside the nursery building by keeping windows open. With this in mind, please could you ensure that your child is always suitably dressed, layers of clothing are a good idea, and comes with a named coat every day.
We are all reliant on each other at the moment to keep our risk of Coronavirus to a minimum, so we ask that you follow all current government guidance and can assure you that we are also doing likewise. Therefore please inform nursery by phone or email if your child or anyone in your household is experiencing any Covid-like symptoms.
If you would like to speak to any member of the nursery staff please do email or phone the nursery during nursery hours and we will respond to you.
With kind regards and thank you for your continued support,
The All Saints Team
