PSED  –  Develop their sense of responsibility & membership of a community  (SL-2024)  :  Grow in independence, rejecting help (“me do it”)  (SL-2025)

Dear parents,

Please see above our planning for the next two weeks. Our main theme for the rest of this term will be building towards our Christmas Celebrations in nursery. We will also be talking about the way that different families celebrate Christmas at home and that some families celebrate special occasions at other times of the year and in other ways. We all have our unique traditions and routines that are important to us and our families . This covers the part of our curriculum that encourages children to “Develop their sense of responsibility and membership of a community”. Children feel important and valued when we find small ways for them to contribute to home and nursery life, this in turn develops their sense of responsibility and belonging.Even learning to get themselves dressed and put on their shoes helps children to gain a sense growing independence and responsibility.

We have all ready begun practising the songs for our Nativity Play, practise makes perfect we hope ! You may have already heard snippets of the songs, the children have been picking them up amazingly well. We look forward to welcoming you to our Nativity Play on Monday 11th December.
