Plans for learning
Please see attached our plans for the next two weeks.
Our main focus will be the part of our curriculum that covers understanding and respecting other cultures. We will do this this by looking at Chinese New Year through reading books, making crafts, eating noodles and trying to eat with chop-sticks, looking at Chinese numbers in our maths area, locating China on our world map and we even have a bamboo steamer in our mud kitchen.
Maybe you could also talk to your child about other cultures that you have some knowledge of or that are important to your family. You could just talk about where the food that you eat during this week comes from….. that could well cover quite a few places around the world !
