PLANNING
Dear parents,
Please see attached our planning for the current two weeks
Curriculum Plans
We are very pleased with how our new children are settling into nursery and also how our older children are providing excellent role models and demonstrating such good behaviour to our younger cohort.
Our plans for the first two weeks of term have mostly focused on enabling the children to be as independent as possible in nursery. When the children arrive at nursery we encourage them to hang up their coats, put their lunch box and water bottles in the right place, wash their hands and find their own name before they go in to play. It is amazing how quickly, with a bit of support, the children learn this routine. You can support your children in their journey to independence by encouraging them to do as much for themselves as possible.
Our plans for the next 2 weeks see us beginning to look at the changing season as Summer moves into Autumn. We have been singing some lovely Autumn songs and talking about the changes that we see in the natural world all around us. When you are out and about with your children talk to them about the beautiful autumn colours, show them conkers and sweet chestnuts on the ground and blackberries growing wild.
Nut Allergy – Reminder
Please note that nursery is a nut free. Please be careful in particular about bringing in hazelnuts, peanuts and almond nuts or products that contain them in childrens lunch boxes.
If you have any questions about whether an item is suitable or not please ask a member of staff.
