Dear parents,
Curriculum Plans
Please see attached our plans for the next two weeks. We continue our theme of looking closely at the world around us. We have some caterpillars arriving after half term and will watch as they transform into butterflies, it is amazing to see the wonder of nature close up.
All the school leavers will be going on 2 nature walks this term to enjoy our beautiful surroundings, you should all have received a memo about this on Tapestry with details of the dates that your child is going.

School Readiness
Our school leavers will be full of mixed emotions about moving from nursery to school. The government website has some useful advice to read, but also if you have any concerns please do speak to any of the staff who will be happy to offer guidance.
Preparing for school – Best Start in Life
Sun safety
We are fortunate that both our gardens are shady however please still pack a hat for your child in their bag and apply long lasting suncream before they come to nursery in the morning.
Morning start times
We offer start times in the morning of 8am, 8-30 am or 9am, if you would like your child to start earlier than they are booked for please speak to Stephanie or Nicola and we are very happy to accommodate that. Otherwise we respectfully request that you wait outside until the time that your child is booked in. Many thanks.
Naming belongings
Please can all items including hats, gloves, scarves, coats, lunchboxes, water bottles etc and any other items that your child brings in please be clearly named.
Side gate
Please can I remind everyone to shut the side gate as you arrive or leave nursery. This is a very important safety barrier for all of your children and their siblings. Despite many campaigns to introduce traffic calming measures along this stretch of Western Road it remains a very significant safety hazard to us all. Please be vigilant and keep the gate shut AT ALL TIMES.
